RealtorEric Geitgey's Profile
Eric Geitgey has been helping clients purchase and invest in real estate throughout Huntsville and the surrounding North Alabama area since 2024. As a Realtor with Valley Homes, Eric brings a detail-oriented, personal approach to real estate and strives to make every transaction as straightforward and informed as possible for the people he represents.
Eric was raised in a military family and spent much of his childhood moving from place to place before ultimately graduating high school in Huntsville. That experience gave him an early appreciation for what it means to find somewhere that truly feels like home. After graduation, Eric enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his military service and travels, Huntsville remained the place he continually returned to and the community where he ultimately chose to establish his roots.
Having watched Huntsville and the surrounding communities grow and transform over the last decade, Eric has developed an even greater appreciation for North Alabama and the opportunities the area provides. He often describes Huntsville as "Alabama's best-kept secret," a city that has maintained much of its character while continuing to attract new businesses, new residents, and new opportunities.
Eric's time in the Marine Corps helped develop the attention to detail, discipline, adaptability, and ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds that he now brings to his real estate business. He understands that no two clients, properties, or transactions are exactly alike. Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, Eric takes the time to understand what his clients are actually trying to accomplish and tailors his approach around their individual priorities.
For buyers, that means looking beyond the basic specifications of a house to understand how the property will actually work for their lifestyle, household, and long-term goals. For sellers, it means recognizing the characteristics of a property that may create value in the eyes of prospective buyers and finding effective ways to highlight them. For investors, it means approaching a property with an understanding that the numbers, location, condition, and long-term potential all play a role in determining whether an opportunity makes sense.
Eric believes some of the most important aspects of real estate are the ones that are not always immediately expressed. A particular layout may work perfectly for a family's daily routine. A workshop, acreage, neighborhood, school commute, or extra room may completely change the value of a property to an individual buyer. By listening closely, asking the right questions, and paying attention to those details, Eric works to identify what matters most to his clients, even when they may not yet know exactly how to put it into words.
Whether someone is buying their first home, relocating to North Alabama, selling a longtime property, searching for land, or evaluating an investment opportunity, Eric's goal is to provide knowledgeable representation, clear communication, and a real estate experience built around the individual, not simply the transaction.
